Ponta Delgada is the most touristic location of the Azores.
It has a quite large, exceeding 60,000 population with suburbs, several self-published newspapers, famous festivities, pineapple cultivation and many more.

The coast is consisting of quite a few leisure facilities, a marina which holds the prestigious European blue flag – you can see straight at it on the webcam -, a fantastic seaside walk and great hotels to please all needs for the visitors.

Sao Miguel has it’s own stadium as well, capable of holding exceeding 15 thousand people, giving home to the CD of Santa Clara and the Azores Regional Football Team. It’s UEFA Approved as well, providing facilities to Championships as well as friendly matches.

This webcam gives magnificent sunset views around 7 P.M. and at night the light effects of the city bay are completely dazzling.

Fun fact – Nelly Furtado is of Azorian roots, together with Pauleta, the all time leading goal scorer of the Portuguese National Team, amongst many others.
