The island of Sao Jorge looks like the best kept secret of nature with around 10 thousand inhabitants, astonishing scenario all the way on this interestingly shaped land, as the length of it being 53 km with the with of 8kms.

Since it’s discovery in the 1400s it has been inhabited, it went through several volcanic eruptions and it’s main industries are agriculture, fisheries and dairy products.

Lush green areas all over the island give more then enough food for the fauna to thrive on, therefore Sao Jorge is producing it’s own famous and delicious unpasteurized cheddar which is aged for 120 days.
